1. Who we are

TechIntel is an English-language AI and technology intelligence service operated through news.fonow.com. The site organizes technology events, companies, products, AI models and technologies, with links to the original source material.

2. Information we collect

Depending on how you use the site, we may process the following information:

• Technical and usage information. Our hosting, CDN and security providers may receive information such as IP address, browser and device type, operating system, referring URL, requested page, timestamps, response status and security events.
• Administrative account information. Authorized administrators, editors and reviewers may provide an email address, display name and authentication information to use the restricted management area. There is currently no public user-registration feature.
• Public source material. The service processes publicly available source metadata and article content, such as titles, URLs, publication dates, summaries and technical subjects, to create structured events and source attribution. We do not ask source publishers to provide private user information to us.
• Information you send to us. If you contact us by email, we receive the information you choose to include in that message and use it to respond and keep a record of the request where reasonably necessary.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• operate, maintain and secure the website and its administrative features;
• discover, analyze, cluster and display AI and technology events with source attribution;
• diagnose errors, prevent abuse and improve reliability and performance;
• respond to privacy, support and rights requests;
• comply with legal obligations and protect the rights, safety and property of TechIntel, our users and others; and
• provide optional analytics or advertising only when configured and permitted by applicable law.

4. Legal bases

Where data protection law requires a legal basis, we generally rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the site, provide the requested service and maintain the technology intelligence database; on contractual necessity for authorized account access; on consent for optional cookies, analytics or personalized advertising; and on legal obligations where applicable. We balance our interests against your rights and use consent where the law requires it.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

The public site is designed to work without a public account. Necessary cookies or similar storage may be used for authorized sign-in, security and fraud prevention. Disabling necessary cookies may prevent the administrative area from working correctly.

Our deployment may use Cloudflare services for content delivery, security and performance measurement. Cloudflare may process technical request data and telemetry in accordance with its Privacy Policy.

As of the date above, TechIntel does not display Google AdSense ads. If advertising is enabled in the future, Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, device information, IP address or similar technologies to deliver, measure and limit advertising. We will update this policy and use a consent mechanism where required before serving personalized advertising. See Google's partner-site data practices for more information.

You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Some browser controls may affect features that require authentication or security cookies.

6. How we share information

We may share information with the following categories of recipients:

• hosting, database, CDN, security, monitoring and infrastructure providers that help us run the service;
• analytics or advertising providers, but only when those services are enabled and their use is permitted;
• professional advisers, auditors or service providers who need the information to support our operations;
• law enforcement, regulators or other parties when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety; and
• a successor or buyer in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of all or part of the service.

We do not operate a data-broker business or sell personal information as a standalone product. Third-party advertising and analytics services, if enabled, may collect or receive information for their stated purposes and will be disclosed through the applicable consent and privacy notices.

7. Third-party sites and source links

TechIntel links to original publishers, documentation, repositories and other external websites. Those sites are operated independently and have their own privacy policies, cookies and data practices. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Review their policies before submitting information to them.

8. Retention

We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including operating and securing the site, maintaining source provenance and event history, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods vary by data type and provider configuration. When information is no longer needed, we delete it, anonymize it or securely isolate it where practical.

9. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable law, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, restriction of or portability of your personal information. You may also object to certain processing or withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Residents of the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland may also have the right to complain to their local data protection authority. California residents may have additional rights under applicable California privacy law.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your interaction with the site has been compromised, please contact us promptly.

11. Children

TechIntel is a general-audience technology site and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.

12. International processing

Our service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers and provide additional information upon request.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site, service providers or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when the current version took effect. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
